Hi Stamper Campers,
It’s been a busy fall here at Camp and we are so excited to host you again at camp coming up here shortly on November 1st, November 2nd and 3rd. It’s going to be a very very fun event…again! We have been celebrating Stampin’ up!’s 25th Anniversary all this year and in the spirit of Vintange Stampin’ Up! I’ve decided that the color challenge should include a few colors that have been around for the LONG haul. I pulled out my oldest catalog (1999-2000) which was the year that I started stamping AND demonstrating and would you believe that there are only about 8 colors that we currently have in our collection? At first I was a little appalled but then I remembered that I had a mauve and country blue kitchen at the time I first started demonstrating and fads AND colors change, for which we can be grateful!! Think Gunny Sac dresses or Farah Fawcett
So Here’s your color Challenge. Make a card, project or page using the following “vintage” colors. Night of Navy, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. All submissions will be donated to a worthy Card Cause ie . Cards for Troops etc. Winners will be chosen for each category.
Our second challenge is a Sketch Challenge. Use this layout to create a card using whatever colors, images or embellishments. again winners will be voted upon and card submissions will be donated. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Have you had a chance to play with Washi Tape yet. We are going to help you fall in love with the stuff. It’s really pretty cool and fun. We’ve used Washi Tape on this sample to give you a customized look of striped paper. This is one of the five cards that we are doing at the Saturday Am Card class. You will want to join us for all the fun. Camp Stamp-in-Oga offers the Saturday AM card class up to three day retreats. Cheryl and I literally bring almost everything from our stamp rooms to share with our full day retreat attendees. Come, we promise you will have fun. Register for the AM Class by clicking link below or sending in the form found under, Save Your Space. Use the form for All Day – 3 Day retreat.
I have always told you that we are the ULTIMATE RUBBERSTAMPING and SCRAPBOOKING retreat in the area. I’ve told you over and over that this is the BEST event ever and you can expect to be pampered and have loads and loads of fun…well guess what! I have really really exciting news for you my Campers! We have outgrown our existing camp and are moving to a new and improved hotel. We are moving our event over to the Doubletree by Hilton in Brookfield for all future events! How cool is that! This is a BOOOUTIFUL location and I think you will love additional room for everyone from rummage to campers AND special perks for our all weekend retreaters. (STAY TUNED!)
This is it! Last Day to Register for Camp Stamp-in-Oga – Summer 2013.
You dont want to miss all the fun that we have in store for you. Click the Paypal link to register for the Saturday AM Card Class. We have demonstrations, displays, raffles and door prizes and just plain ol fun! Prefer a longer retreat? Contact me for the 1-3 Day Retreats.
And since I gave you the color challenge yesterday, I suppose I should share a sketch challenge with you as well. Remember prizes are awarded! Here’s your sketch. I found this sketch on the splitcoaststampers website and like the simplicity of the layout. Go Forth and Create! Use this sketch as a springboard for your creativity.
One of the things that we’ve added to camp is a Color Challenge and a Sketch Challenge and of course, like any good camp, stamping or otherwise. It’s not just about bragging rights, there is some really good stuff handed out as prizes. Check it out. This is the Color Challenge for the Saturday, Aug 3rd camp. We are using 4 colors and you can use, one, two, three or four of them in your card. Drum roll please….Here’s the colors…Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, Pool Party, and Bermuda Bay. This color challenge screams summer to me!
Don’t forget that registration for Summer 2013 camp end this week on July 26th. If you haven’t reserved a spot for your Camping Gear, hurry! Time is running out. Here’s another sample of one the cards that we will be doing at Camp. It’s done with the Hexagon Punch and the Six-Side Stamp set. Love it! We will show you an easy way to stamp these hexagons. It’s just ONE more reason you need to come to camp! Register for Saturday’s Card class by clicking on the registration button or by using this Paypal link. Register for All Day, 2 Day and 3 Day Events by emailing or calling me to sign up.
Actually it’s a camp counselor without a working computer. This camp counselor is very happy to be living in this century with access to the internet. Without my computer, I felt like I should have maybe sent a pony express package out to you all or at least SMOKE SIGNALS. But, access to the 2013s has been restored to the camp AND I’m jumping in to remind you to register for CAMP, if you haven’t done so! Here’s just one of the five reasons you should come to the Signature Event on Saturday, August 3rd. Remember we have a variety of camps that you can attend…The Saturday Signature Event, All-Day Event, Two-day and Three Day Camps. We are going to have so much fun…you WON’T want to miss it!
Have you ever wanted to just spend the entire weekend in my (or Cheryl’s) stamping/scrapbooking room? Just want to spend it working (playing) with all our Stampin’ Up! toys? Just wish supper and lunch would magically appear and be showered with fun little “pillow” gifts? Well, all this AND more can be your portion at our Camp Stamp-in-Oga 1-3 Day retreats. And it can be yours 4 times a YEAR! I know…too cool. Now, our April AM card class is FULL but we can get you into the One, Two or Three Day Retreats. We will have on hand all of our stamp pads, our punches, our Big Shots, our stamps, our embossing powders. This is a stamping and scrapbooking retreat that you can truly enjoy! And you get to spend it with Cheryl and Me! I know, that’s the best part!
Let me know if you want to be included in our Camp Retreats. Here’s a quick video showing some of our additional Break Out Class options. Won’t you join us?
How about another Sneak Peak? We are approaching max capacity for the Saturday AM event (we would love it if you could join us for the 3 day retreat! – Treat yourself, you deserve it!) so make sure we have your registration!
Here’s another of the cards that we will be doing. This card is coordinated by Jamee Hueschen and is done using one of the soon to be retired colors, Bashful Blue. Did you see that we are doing a Color Refresh? Yes, 10 colors are being retired and several old “in-colors” are returning. Make sure if there are any of these colors on your list, that you stock up today! Quantities are limited to the stock on hand, so again, don’t delay!
So again, let us know if you are planning on attending! We can’t wait to stamp with you…
It’s really really hard for this Camp Counselor to wait patiently for the next camp. We have so much fun at camp that I have a tendency to wish away the days between the camps. What’s better than hanging out with a room full of like minded stampers and scrapbookers? And while our Saturday Signature Card Camp is awesome, I will have to say my VERY favorite part of camp is actually the laid back- work at your own pace times that are available on Friday afternoon/evening, Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday. It’s at these times when I feel like I really get to bond with the campers that have made the choice to experience a Full Day/Multiple Day Retreat. Cheryl and I do our best to mingle and share our love of stamping and scrapping with these ladies and I promise that we spend a lot of time laughing and teasing each other. Just like camp, without the mosquitoes and poison ivy.
I hear so often when customers visit my studio that they would love to move in with me and while I’m sure that we would have a blast, the reality is that our home is fairly small and my children, while adorable, probably would become annoying after a while so here’s the PERFECT solution. Do you realize that Cheryl and I basically bring our stamping rooms TO THE HOTEL for our Full and Multiple Day Retreat Attendees? Yes, they get unlimited access to pretty much EVERYTHING that would be found in our stamp rooms! Stamp sets, ink pads, Big Shots, folders, dies etc and well of course, our extensive stamping expertise. All that and I can GUARANTEE the food will be better than anything I would be serving you at my house. I can’t vouch for Cheryl but I know my talents and they aren’t necessarily in the kitchen…Did I mention the food at these retreats? I did? Well it bears repeating. It’s really good catered food! MMmm, I’m hungry already.
So I hope I’ve given you some food for thought. You really should consider staying for more than just the Card Camp. If you’re not, you really are missing out on the best part of the camp. Did I mention that we made s’mores with the embossing heat tool? Besides, I’ve seen the additional break out class options and hot dog, they are really really cute.
But I digress. I promised you Card #2 for the Spring Camp. Check it out, sign up for Camp and I would suggest making it a multiple DAY event!
I can’t decide if I want to share the full card before or after camp and it’s too early in the morning to decide these things. These things are better decided on several more cups of coffee. So I’m going to think about that for a day or so and just share card #1 with you today. Cheryl and I got together yesterday and hammered out all the details for the card samples for your Spring Camp Stamp-in-Oga and I will say it was VERY difficult to choose just 5 cards. There were too many cute ones and I am so thankful that we have SUCH a talented group of stampers in my downline. Your camp counselors ROCK! We also discussed ideas for the all day Break Out classes and all I’m going to say is YOU ARE GOING to kick yourself if you don’t stay for the ENTIRE weekend! From all the little camp goodies and give-aways to the projects and fun.
Remember the Early Bird Discount ends March 26th for both the Full, Two and Single Day Retreats and the Saturday AM Card event. Register today as the final day of registration is April 19th or when we are full. We are currently close to 1/2 full already so it’s very likely we could sell out early…. Click on the Registration Link to print off your form and come to camp where we camp like girls!
This card is done using One In A Million stamp set as well, so it can be adapted to be a Wedding Card, Birthday or Thank you..
We have instituted a new program here at Camp Stamp-in-Oga. We have been hosting Color and Sketch Challenges for each of our camps and it’s NOT just for bragging rights. Some REALLY good loot comes with the 1st and 2nd place finishers in each category. Cards will be judged by fellow campers just prior to the end of the Signature Card Camp on Saturday morning. You’ve got 2 months to get your stamps and pads warmed up and ready to CREATE!
Here’s the Color Challenge: So Saffron, Regal Rose and Soft Suede – use these three Stampin’ Up! colors in any card.
And your Sketch Challenge: use this layout to create your own card or Scrapbook Page, if desired. I found this sketch on Splitcoaststampers and think it’s a quick inspiration sketch! Go create and I can’t wait to see what you do.

Seems like we are still in the throws of winter here at Camp Stamp-in-Oga. We counselors are dreaming of warmer weather and all the fun occasions that we can create more spring-like cards for. While we are dreaming and stamping I just wanted to share the fourth card with you from our Winter Camp. This card was coordinated by Jennifer and Sarah Labecki, two of our sister counselors. We often say that our Stampin group is a big happy family and in their case, they are stampin sisters and real-life sisters too! They are THE sweetest, the most gracious, the kindest counselors that we have on staff!
Well, the bedrolls have been aired out, the stamps cleaned and put away and I’m finally catching up on my SLEEP. These weekends are just so much fun for us OLDER folks. One of my favorite campers has asked that we include a supply list so I think I’ll do JUST that. I’m going to try and get out a monthly newsletter for camp and I think it will be a perfect idea to include in the newsletters too. I don’t think I shared this card with you yet. This is the 3rd of 5 cards that we did at the last Camp Stamp-in-Oga. This card was chaired by Marilyn Lesser of Muskego.

Wow, has the time flown by since our last Camp Stamp-in-oga and I’m popping to remind you that today, Friday, Jan 25th is the VERY last day to register for camp. Please call me, email me, send a pigeon, whatever to make sure that you are on the list for Camp. I may be slightly biased but I really think this is one of the VERY best stamp camps in the area. We have fabulous display boards, awesome cards (duh!), doorprizes and raffles, rolling demonstrations AND an entire room full of rummage! Too cool. Just in case you are sitting on the fence, I checked extended weather forecast and after Tuesday, it looks clear and fabulous. Of course, it’s weather BUT I think the chances are good for a great weekend getaway. We still have some room for both the Saturday Morning Camp and the All Day/Weekend Camps. You know, winter is long and so you might as well treat yourself an ultimate scrapbooking retreat. You’ve endured enough nastiness. Let’s relax and enjoy ourselves at Camp.
Here’s another sample of one of the cards that we will be doing at camp.
I’m hoping you are airing out your sleeping bags…oops, I mean gathering your stamping supplies. We, here at Camp Stampin’ Oga, are working on prepping for Saturday’s card class and figuring out which table gifts should be included. We absolutely love our job. Here’s one of the cards that we will be doing at Camp Stamp-in-Oga on Feb 2nd. Now remember, we are a full weekend retreat as well and you can participate in either the retreat or simply just the card class.
Click here to register below or simply print off the registration form and mail to me
Well the process for another Fabulous Camp Stamp-In-Oga has begun. We have started picking out our Cards and Break Out Classes for our next Camp, scheduled for Feb 1st – 3rd. Here’s a sneak peek at the first card that we will be doing on Saturday Morning’s signature camp. Several of you have asked if we are just doing Valentines cards. Nope, definitely not. While, yes, this could be considered a “Valentine” card, we are using the Delightful Dozen set for the inside and that will give you the option of making it a Birthday card, a Mother’s day card, an ANNIVERSARY or Wedding card…you can’t go wrong with “love”. Don’t forget to register today. Early Bird Registration ends Jan 2nd.
